Grand Prix Rugs & Accessories Returns & Exchanges Policy

Grand Prix’s policy for Returns and Refunds follow the regulations of the Office of Fair Trading Queensland.
All Customers are entitled to an exchange if the following applies:

  • have a fault you did not know about when you bought it
  • are not the same as described
  • do not do the job you were led to believe they would
  • do not last a reasonable amount of time, given the price you paid.

Customers are not entitled to a refund or exchange when the following applies:

  • cannot prove they purchased the item (for example, by producing a receipt or bank statement that shows the purchase)
  • realise they can't afford the goods or change their mind about the goods
  • ignored your advice or warning that it may not meet their needs
  • took action that voided or damaged the product
  • have damaged the goods they bought
  • knew (or should have known) about a fault when they bought the goods.

We believe we have high quality products at Grand Prix Rugs & Accessories.

If you have an issue with the quality of your product, please contact us before using. We will happily replace any product with a demonstrable manufacturing fault before the product is used. If you are unsure of the fitting of a horse rug or how to use a particular product - please contact us for clarification before using. We are only too happy to assist.
We have no control over how you fit or use any of our products.  We also have no control over how your horse may roll, itch or rub while wearing our products. We will not honour replacements for any item that has been destroyed after use.

It is the buyers’ responsibility to make sure that you are satisfied with the quality and fit of the products you have purchased and that it is suitable for your purpose before use. When you fit your product for the first time, if you are not happy with the fit or sizing, please contact us to arrange an exchange or refund for the product. Remove the product from your horse immediately before it gets dirty (see conditions of return for soiled products)
We ask that you check your rugs & products carefully, before using on your horse, to satisfy yourself that they are of high quality and free from any manufacturing defects, which may shorten their expected use.
If you have realised that you have bought the wrong size we are happy to exchange the product within 14 days of purchase.
Postage costs for the return and dispatch are the responsibility of the purchaser and we require the postal fee before shipping the new product.
Postage Costs:
Postage and handling charges are not refundable.
If there is a mistake with your order or a faulty item that needs to be returned, we will cover the postage costs for you to return the product to us. Please ask us for our reply paid details.
Non Returnable Items:
We will not honour any warranty for a product once it has been used on an animal. We have no control on how you choose to fit or use our products. We have no control over how your horse may roll, itch and rub, or otherwise try to remove a rug or similar product. For this reason, it is the buyer’s reasonability to inspect your purchase closely and insure you are happy with both the quality and that it fits the purpose of your needs before using them on your animal.
Sale or Clearance Items:
Products purchased as part of a clearance sale may not be returned or exchanged.
Defective Items:
If a product has a demonstrable manufacturing defect we will happily replace the product within 14days of purchase at our expense. Please see notes above regarding non returnable products.
Handling Fees:
We do not charge a handling fee for products returned for an exchange.
Products sent back for a refund will attract a 15% handling fee for processing expenses.
Return Details:
All products must be returned to us with:
1.Original condition & in original packaging along with all tags etc
2. Goods must be 100% Clean and Hair free (see notes for soiled items)
3.You notify us of your intention of an exchange or return within 72hrs of receipt
4.You return the products with copy of the invoice/receipt within 7 days of notifying us.
Please contact us PRIOR to returning your product so we can issue you with a Return Authority (RA) number. Your RA number must be included along with your return to enable us to process your return.
All freight costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. If you do need to return anything to us, we suggest you register your returning parcel as Grand Prix will not accept any responsibility for goods lost in return transit. We will not accept any goods returned by C.O.D. delivery.

Soiled Products
If you do send a product back to us for exchange or refund and it is marked or covered in hair (no matter how minor in your opinion) we will charge a 50% re-stocking fee - as your product will have to be discounted to clear. If this is the case we will not dispatch your exchange product until we receive your restocking fee.

To avoid disappointment, please insure all products are clean. We suggest putting a sheet or similar under your product when trying it on for the first time to keep hair and dirt off.
